Register of Locally Important Buildings and Structures

The Borough Council has a Register of Locally Important Buildings and
Structures which it reviews every 2 years.

Borough Council are inviting nominations for consideration of this
year’s review.  For more information on the list please visit
www.newcastle-staffs.gov.uk/registeroflocallyimportantbuildings
this includes how to nominate and shows you buildings and structures
that are already on the existing Register.

Buildings should be historic,  authentic, have some architectural
merit, visual importance and have value to the local community.   You
will need to apply for a building to be considered by using the online
form found here –

Please give as much information as possible so your nomination can be
properly considered against the criteria.

The deadline for nominations this year will be 20 September 2024.  Borough Council
will then review the nominations in the autumn with a view to Planning
Committee considering the revised list for publication by the end of
the year or in the new year.
