UPDATE ROAD CLOSURE – BAR HILL CANCELLED
|THE PARISH COUNCIL HAS BEEN ADVISED THAT THE BELOW ROAD CLOSURE WILL NO LONGER TAKE PLACE.
HS2 have sourced an alternate access point for the works required.
The wood generated from the works will be donated back to the community, it will be cut into movable chunks and left in the church car park for people to take away. Further updates will be provided.
HS2 will be undertaking works at Station Road as part of ongoing maintenance works. The essential works to roadside trees will take place from Monday 3rd – Friday 7th June between 9.30am and 3pm. These works are required to ensure the public highway remains clear and safe to use.
Balfour Beatty will be installing ground protection matting to access and survey the trees and remove any unsafe features as necessary.
In order to carry out these works temporary traffic lights are to be installed along Bar Hill, north of the Station Road junction, with an off-peak lane closure to access the site and manage the safe movement of vehicles and people required to carry out the works.
HS2 has advised:
‘If your journey is affected by these works, we appreciate your patience and understanding for any minor delay. We also urge you to allow some additional time for your journey as necessary.
If you have a question about HS2 or our works, please contact our HS2 Helpdesk team on 08081 434 434 or email hs2enquiries@hs2.org.uk’
